Because the "photo" suggests that these birds have a cuddly like feeling, an emotion, like a human does. Animals like this don't have that. Animals like this only see "what's next...what's next...what's next..." purely instinct driven.

Considering their feathers are flared out like that and there's no leaves on the branches, they could just be trying to stay warm during a cold season. Plenty of birds do just that IRL.
