Because if they were admitting it was just a job and not a contest then was she paid her appropriate scale for every appearance or just the one? Would she have accepted the job for her scale rate or kept working in NY instead? She didn't get to make that choice because they lied
Correct. I don’t think that’s particularly unusual for the business. There’s a larger discussion here about how performers should get paid for auditions but that’s not exactly one I’d lay solely at Nathan Fielder’s feet
