you can set them up to let any emergency contacts you put in the phone know as well!

All is well, thanks. Nothing broken, just a bit of a smack. The hospital gave my mum a leg brace to help ease the pain, but she's otherwise ok

It works without a phone if you have the cellular model. The fall detection has worked for me in the past at least when I crashed with my bike. 😅

I might look into the cellular model because my mum tends to wear summer dresses with no pockets and the phone usually stays inside the house

My understanding is if it is in range it will call from the phone. If your Apple Watch has its own sim it can make the call itself.
