To really understand the London Underground, you have to actually use it - something I suspect many of the commentators who have been having loud fannywobbles over the past few weeks rarely do.

I love the tube! So easy to use, but it does have rules all of its own. I used to quite like imagining I was an insect moving as part of a swarm. Its really a unique experience. (The New York subway can fuck right off!!!)
I don't get on with the buses so well (numbers, no colours and less idea where I am) but Mum knew them by heart so travelling with her on the bus was fine. It was a me issue with the buses. But never saw anything worse than anywhere else!
When you’ve travelled a bit and seen other cities, you know that the Tube is one of the best all round. Old yes but then much of it was built before anywhere else. But safe, pretty reliable and comprehensive.
I keep reading that “London isn’t safe”. In my personal experience it’s as safe / unsafe as any capital / major city in Europe. It’s all another RW-confected notion to create fear and division
When I was a productive member of society I was amazed by the attitude of many of my Parisian colleagues. They were really snobby about their (brilliant) metro system. They preferred to sit in traffic jams or risk the Periphique on their over powered motor scooters.

We are 8million very different souls, getting by and getting on with it.
We don’t get upset because someone looks different, sounds different or is indeed different. We’re different to them so it’s a 1-1 draw. X8million.
If this attitude spreads, Farage et al lose everything
Making London the epitome of hate fuels their narrative in Little England.
Trouble is, we’re making it look easy and they absolutely hate us for it.
Also we travel on a lot of the came routes x
There are, of course, problems. But fixing them costs money - ask Lee if London should get more money….
