tbh I have no idea how a self-professed nuclear nerd such as myself never got around to it, but I have now ordered one!

I do wish I knew what wavelength(s) my UV lights are putting out, but I don't have any decent way to test it.

If it is partly in vis, you can get a spectroscope for around $10. Quantitative UV spectrometers are sadly super pricey :(

One of them is extremely wimpy, like -- half visible light, and the other one is much shorter, to the point where you don't wanna use it to look at hotel rooms with the lights off for fear of what it will reveal. But both of them light up these beads like whoa.

...and I just went over to the bead shop, UV flashlight in hand, and pretty much cleared them out because this is 100% the beginning of a new collection 😃

I have no idea what the wavelength of this UV flashlight is, it's a cheap but powerful version sold to hobbyists for curing UV resin, but it can definitely awake a pretty green glow in one of our vintage glass jugs and it makes these little guys shriek (you can feel the beads heating up)
