Manning was 8-4 in the playoffs. Plunkett 8-2. If Plunkett was drafted by the Raiders (and not your Pats) he would have played more reg season and playoff games. Difference is Plunkett had a rough go of it his first 7 seasons and sat out a year because of it.

Games won and lost is not how you want to approach Eli, otherwise .500 is pretty disqualifying. W-L is a team stat. My point is that if “He wOn TwO rIngZ” is the merit, that’s awfully close to “no way, doesn’t belong in” based on as few as two passes. You’ve gotta have a stronger body of work.

Perfectly reasonable to say the NYG won 2 chips in which they had a HOF defense and he was the game manager. Why can’t we say he is a recipient of two superbowl rings AND he’s not a HOFer? This is appropriate without commemorating him.
