I'm tentatively pleased, inasmuch as it's clear that no one at ESPN likes baseball or understands why anyone else does. If you treat the game you have exclusive rights to broadcast as something your viewers have tuned in TO BE DISTRACTED FROM you can't really be shocked that your ratings are trash.

Really, ESPN is crap and overhyped at everything they broadcast. Obnoxious Stephen A Smith is presented as an expert at every sport. TNT is 1000 times better at NBA broadcasting. NFL broadcasts are better at all the other networks. I mostly watch ESPN games with tv on mute.

Of all the bad MLB broadcasters, ESPN was by far and wide the worst. The broadcasters wouldn't stfu, held horrible bias, and often weren't even talking about the game in front of them. Roku somehow did it the best, even with insane brunch ball hours. Apple is good bc you can select the radio audio
