Rosenthal is wrong on two counts: 1. Alonso will not be getting a better contract next year because of this.

Except for the fact that there won't be a QO next to him if he opts out, he'll be a year older and less atractiv.

2. The original A-Rod deal aged very well. His second deal was bad.
