The entire premise of the Jimmy Butler-Warriors partnership has been about this version of Golden State convincing the masses that it was a legitimate title contender.

I don't know that they are legitimate title contenders. If the Rockets hadn't had deer in headlights last night, I don't think Golden State would have gotten out of the first round. If they make it to the OKC buzz saw, I'll be surprised (but happy for Steph and Kerr, whom I worked with for years).
The one thing that is constant, is how wrong the talking heads are constantly about so much. They were wrong when Glenn Rice went to the Lakers, they said one basketball would not be enough for Rice, Kobe (RIP) & Shaq. They won the chip that year...
I don't think that is a fair comparison. Wiggs got lots and lots of opportunities to prove himself. We were giving him more minutes than he 'earned' in the hope that a turnaround would come. Kuminga barely gets any playing time. Even during his hot streak this season he often started from the bench
Butler was missed two games due to injury and one game after coming back he didn’t seem 100% healthy. Curry is injured but playing with a swollen finger on his shooting hand.
If this team was healthy, they might be a sub all-star player away from being a legit title contender.

The player whose arrival in February made this all possible.
