Win the Stanley Cup but lose Mikko Rantanen to FA. Don't doubt Mikko was gone. Colorado’s salary commitments to MacKinnon, Makar, and Rantanen were unsustainable if kept together. Add the return of Landeskog to the salary cap constraints.

That sounds like it was the goalies goal. You should still get the goal and the points but definitely not a hat trick. Half the time if a player has two goals they set it up for him to get a hat trick.
