The purpose of college is education, not a corrupt minor league sport system.

The college experience can still involve partying and getting into youthful hijinks.

They could also still put together student sections that cheer at minor league sports, but they shouldn’t be tied to the institutions.

I am a huge sports fan, some of my favorite memories are of college games (kick six, fab five, the wide rights) but in the end, to me, it’s just superficial and really about alums making their shiny toy the best.
