For the record, its OCR B (MEI) but I've heard it referred to in many different ways
MEI Maths
OCR (MEI)

'That one with the interesting Further Maths options'
Is MEI the spec where the students have to learn something new *during the exam*? I think our reaction to that when reading all the proposed new specifications back in 2017 was "Hell no!"
Yes. Much more accessible than the old spec version in my opinion - and they are only asked to use maths from A-Level, just applied to the context of the article. It’s quite nice, but I’m not sure how well it would work with a cohort with high EAL, or even high disadvantage.
No specific evidence that centres with high EAL cohorts that enter #OCRBMEI perform worse, but am aware that this perception is used as a reason for not choosing this specification in the first place. Accessibility checks are designed to ensure that language is not a barrier in any Maths exam
Yes, I’m not a fan. One year in old spec is was about cricket and you had an advantage if you knew its scoring system already. Many of my students didn’t have a clue
