Awww, that's unfortunate.
I adored it!
I felt like the lore in it was so fun and new, and the gameplay was creative and just the right amount of challenging.
I did hate the menu system tho...
I like Echoes of Wisdom. It's a cute Zelda title. Twilight Princess forever in my book. Honestly, I put down TOTK. It was trash. Never went back. Least in my opinion. I was building sh*t with a glove. Like Bob the Builder. Nintendo put me to work in construction. I was like WTF is this?
I feel very much the opposite. Zelda has been formative to my gaming love. I remember when the first one came out for the NES, I run LttP randomizers frequently, WW is still one of my favorite games and I absolutely adored Echoes of Wisdom.
Did you play or like any other top down zeldas? Its more like those than the ones you listed. Sidenote: Plz tell me you played the original WW 3 times cause that would be the real hot take.
Look I like WW ok but I cannot imagine playing the original more than once kudos to you.
Go play minish cap. It barely feels like zelda but is hella fun
Yeah, EoW just felt extremely dull and not enjoyable. Doing anything takes forever, and a lot of the environment puzzles are just repetitive uses of the same small number of basic echoes.
Ended up stopping in the second or third dungeon because I was so bored.
I feel like Echoes of Wisdom is one of those games you’ll either really jive with and enjoy, or that you’ll find a boring slog that you give up on 2 dungeons in.
I personally enjoyed it, but it definitely took a while before I reached that point, and I’m also rarely one to drop a game.
Zelda is like 90% world building and story telling to me so what’s essentially a Zelda 1 remake with story told out of order in a non linear format with 200000000 collectibles is a no thanks from me 💀OoT is my fav for reference so I think I’m just not creative
I hope the next one keeps the open world choose your own adventure but makes the story a little more linear like you can do whatever to a certain point and then must do a certain dungeon to proceed. And also gets rid of the item building of TOTK. It was too much work.
I just generally dislike open world/non linear games as someone who’s favorite games are level to level platformers LOL I hate that Zelda is more popular than EVER but it’s because of the ONE format I disliked from them so I really hope they keep releasing normal ones too 😔

Also, I’ve played BOTW 3 saving my 4th for the Switch 2! ☺️

I don't bother with remakes if I own the original

It’s kinda just a gimmick title so I assume it’ll go “beloved” > “hated” > “beloved again in 10 years” like every non main story Zelda game
You lost me.
Me:
hasn't played Minish Cap
🤦
