For me, it’s less about timing than about making sure there is a space for addressing the issues.
I do tend to think sooner is better than later since memories become unreliable fairly quickly.

I’ve encountered a lot of “I don’t want to talk about it. I’m upset” combined with “why would you bring that back up now that I’m feeling better?”
In general, I’m not a quick witted person. I really do need to explore my own thoughts and why I think/feel something.
It makes it so much easier to trust someone who “needs time” when they establish a track record of bringing it back once they feel they’ve had the chance to gather their thoughts.
I’m ready to pre-order 10 bottles right now. I’m giving them out as gifts. 😂
