We hope the feckless US Supreme Court will do the same and prevent a convicted felon who supported an insurrection and who is against the rule of law to become the 47th president.
Best news today! Putin obviously trying to mess with anything and everything to achieve his goals by dishonest means. For Putin, that is preferable to actually working hard to win hearts and minds in a fair and honest way.
Should it be a call for all future elections in other countries, we need to monitor social media for any influence and not being afraid to cancel elections. Romania is showing the way π
Talk about rattling the cages of the putinesque trumpers. Loads of 'em.
Sadly multiplying on π¦ but no one gives the air..
Easy to spot by the brevity, poor spelling, average of 6 words and only an insult.
Block is busy.
People are sick of it!! Times are starting to change. Look at S Korea. Countries are resisting the Russian scourge!! Sadly not our incoming president. He sold his soul to Putin and sold us all out. We must stand up too!
The country votes +40% the political party directly descended from the Communist party. Moreso, at provincial levels, where it wields unidirectional influence & power.
β...vastly better...β
They are the descendant political party, with their cadres, from the lowest village/commune, up to the capital, of the βdefunctβ Communist party.
Together with the secret services too, being the direct descendants of the Securitate, literally dominated by hereditary bloodkin.

The βa bunch of ruzzian backed fascistsβ were intentionally allowed up to this point by everyone, including the nomenklatura-descendants & securitate-descendants.
What about the US Supreme court? Not happening. What about Russian stooges trump keeps nominating to his βcabinetβ β more like a closet for secret Russian assets.
I think European countries (and most others globally) have had centuries of invaders at the gates that have posed existential threats to their existence. And I think that makes those governments a bit more guarded about just letting the foxes in the henhouse.
More than protecting democracy, here the point is to protect the democratic process, the tools that make democracy such a powerful but delicate system. In this case a hostile attack was mounted on the process and it was rightly rejected as such!
This was wrong decision. Everyone knew in advance russia would do it. They're doing it all around the world for the last 15 years. And it wasn't very successful, because 22% pro-russian vote was expected. Today, even Poland has 15% pro-russian vote. This will lead to chaos which only helps populists
To be pedantic, the Ukrainian decision was more controversial because its court intervened after the *second* round, i.e. after someone (Yanukovych) had apparently won the election. Their court then ordered a re-run of the second round, which the other candidate (Yuschenko) won.
Brazil, South Korea now Romania all handling the lawlessness and corruption while the US slips further and further into the abyss. Never thought it was possible yet here we are.
Most of the US Supreme Court, Republican congressmen and other right wing government groups are already bankrolled, controlled and manipulated by the Kremlin.
Soon, the US president will also be bending over for Putin once again.
We wouldnβt have the current Supreme Court justiceβs if it wasnβt for Mitch McDonnell impeachment acquittal of Trump. If you want to blame someone blame Mitch.
Reminds me of the lead up to 2016. If the government believes that Russia won't do everything in their power to help Farage in 2029 then they are committing Harakiri.
The constitutional court is corrupt in Romania too. The decision to cancel the election comes to late and if the authorities don't do something about these extremists supported by russia, one of them will become president, and then it's really over.
So are we now soon to read that there will be a number of high-profile Romanian judges who inexplicably end up falling out of a window in a very tall building over the coming weeks?

Any evidence or can we not see this because of you know βnational security β?

I think this will set a precedent for other countries to follow, but also something that could so easily be abused.
Proper democracy is such a fragile system and fraught with issues. I don't know of a better system though.
That's stupid.
Ban them.
