Read the T&Cs and it says all data sent back to China, including all GPS data and times.
Buying them from a data-broker would be much more expensive!

Now, do look into other "friendly services" that sends data to the same country. Like EV's. Like routers. Like phones. Like TV, or better, like most electronic devices that uses internet...
And then it simply becomes a bill.
