OPINION: When Donald Trump wakes up in a bad mood, tariffs skyrocket. Consensus in Europe may be to either negotiate or retaliate .... but true courage could lie in a third option - doing absolutely nothing, says foreign relations expert.

Finding alternative trade partners would certainly wake up the big business importers in the U.S. Then the 'little people' - the voters - could sit back and watch as corporations took on their President Trump. What the little people can't do, the Wall Street types sure can.
How this opinion works.....do a deal or retaliate....Or just don't f** care, Tariffs are illegals, so the fact that EU have a reprieve until July 9 doesn't matter, everything this clown is whining about, doesn't matter. He is irrelevant and the market will end up ignoring him.
Trump has been using tariffs as a distraction because it sets the media on fire. He seems to post threats when people are discussing his corrupting. Which is often. Looks like folks are waking up a bit.
I disagree. Taking no action would harm European exporting companies that could not be supported without incurring costs.
Specific retaliatory measures on certain goods and services would not damage the economy too severely and could generate compensatory funds.
The entire world should shun and isolate the US until they are ready to rejoin the global community as sane, responsible adults free of the unhinged fascist, racist, hateful regime.
I'm coming round to that way of thinking, just ignore him, "all mouth and trousers". The International community needs to work together and just Leave Trump and America to it's own devices. Working together would largely offset Trump. What the world desperately needs is real leadership.
#TACO but also yes, please , outwardly ignore his blustering nonsense and behind the scenes prepare for the worst because he is the bull in the china shop.

Absolute Isolation.
