Let’s face it: The stigma of abortion still lies with the woman, never with the father of the child. The lack of open discussion about reproductive rights is key. Inequality in access to safe abortion is still in many cases down to affordability to travel and help to get there.

Well yeah, there's a lot of countries in the EU with their own laws. Some are too strict (Malta - illegal) and some are too liberal (Netherlands - 22 weeks). Obviously some will travel.

I think the clear difference between Europe and the US is that many people in Europe (for now) understand that it is not just an ideological issue. It is healthcare and banning or restricting access results in unnecessary and preventable deaths and postpartum illness
