if we replaced the entire Democratic Party with about 40 people who have ever had a real job we would have a better shot at keeping the right wing from destroying the country

As I've witnessed the last couple of decades, I've increasingly come to think that an Athenian-style system where our legislature is comprised of randos chosen like for jury duty would certainly not be worse than what we have, and would probably be an improvement.
You see this person has an awful lot of say and partly could even have an honest debate if they didn't have comments turned off the many reposts, showing they just be able to try to quote dunk for their fans instead
Seeing some sarcastic reposts of this (with comments turned off! So brave!) So if you find this that way I ask if you, what exactly do you consider working class? And why would you not consider teachers, professors, administrators, etc to be in the working class?
Your stance is interesting, in that it suggests gatekeeping who can be in Congress, yet the criteria is highly subjective, so much that you asked a polling question about it.
101 members of Congress in 2024 were teachers, professors, instructors, counselors, coaches or school administrators. 5 ministers, 1 EMT, 3 nurses, 2 pharmacists. 3 sheriffs, 1 firefighter, 1 parole officer, 1 Peace Corps volunteer. 6 social workers,31 farmers or ranchers, 1 flight attendant.
Yep. And the GOP? Hell, they replaced themselves entirely to be Trump's lil' bitches. It's a sad time to be a politico peddlin' the party lies on whatever side, for sure.
