I currently don't wear a mask (all the time) because I find it incredibly inconvenient, plus that human nature is to not do inconvenient things unless it affects us personally.

If I am sick or other people around me are sick, I'll wear a mask.

To be fair, I don't really have anything beyond that to say whether or not it is beneficial (all circumstances and pros/cons included) to wear all the time. I just don't see a reason to for myself.

I will admit that I should probably go to the doctor since it's been probably a decade. --

Plus that I don't usually get regular vaccines because I just forget. Being an adult is hard. 😅

I'd be happy to try to improve all this. I just haven't really found a reason myself to do these things all the time.

I just live by "live fast, eat ass". I'm tired of worrying all the time.

I will also add, the times I did get sick, I called out from work as much as possible, even when I ran out of PTO. I wash my hands very regularly, I vampire sneeze, etc.

I still at least try to reduce the spread of disease in the ways I was taught or built habits from.

What I do think would be really interesting is some sort of data comparison. Being able to built a cross of data between "being around others", "being in certain areas", "being in certain circumstances", and "level/types of disease prevention".

It would be incredibly nice if we can come up with a graphic (or multiple) and some rules that are easy to digest to help promote people to do certain things to reduce the spread of disease.

I have an uncle, who is a big conservative, who thought it would be a brilliant idea to go on multiple week long vacations surrounded by other conservatives all completely maskless and vaccine less.

Long story short they now have long covid but theyre fine-ish now.

COVID lung damage from my first round of it in Dec 2020. Medical provider, so was exposed constantly have had it a confirmed 7 times.

On 2 immunosuppressants now and am terrified of getting sick. went out once in Jan, ended up in the hospital with 4 concurrent infections.

yeah, i have many doctors appointments to go to weekly, so i have to leave for those. im only able to leave 1-2 days weekly otherwise for my day job & to get errands/ meds.

My wife and I never ever ever stopped masking. It's wild how people are just trying to live as if there isn't a deadly and disabling disease still running rampant, and it's about to get a lot worse honestly, for multiple reasons. I hope people wake up and start having even a tiny bit of empathy.

god i feel like such a burden pleading for my close ones to recognize how fucking devastating it is to be disabled from covid. i feel like my early 20s were stolen from me. how do you not look at that and go "oh wow i should really take this more seriously and protect myself & those around me"
