Ministers claim that those with the most severe disabilities "will be protected". But under the new 4-point rule 9 in 10 claimants will lose #PIP daily living allowance, and 13% of those on enhanced rate (more than 1 in 10 most severely disabled) ill lose it.

Ministers claim the numbers of disabled people on Universal Credit who don't need to look for work (because they're severely #disabled) has "quadrupled since the pandemic". It hasn't.

Ministers claim they could save £5bn by cutting disability welfare. Yet each £1 spend on health-related welfare generates almost £1.50 for the economy. Cutting it will shift the cost from a disabled person managing independently, onto the #NHS, councils, etc.
