Target was sued by its stockholders because they said Target didn’t anticipate the reactions to DEI practices. So a select group of fat cats sued a good company for not making them fatter, then spun a story that the majority of people hate DEI. I will boycott Target for the stockholder’s actions.
Define good? They also underpay and over work their employees....during covid retail companies had record high profits and didn't offer a single dime to the people that made them rich. Stop lying to yourself.
Also maybe this is a good opportunity to admit that Wall Street is not Main Street and that we need other economic indicators of well-being besides stock prices. Like the fact that most people are paying almost half --or more-- of their income for renting a place they don't own. Shameful.
It's not just the stocks, a great proportion of the people who shop with them would have benefited from DEI. They and there families will now find other places to shop....
And, they can’t make a million dollars off LGBTQ+IA or Black History merch anymore. Finally people seeing these companies for who they are. Making money from “DEI” but secretly paying money to lobbyists, PACS, & anyone else whose political agendas (no matter how despicable) helps their bottom line.
