In #MathsToday, my holiday reading has included this (which I think was recommended by someone on here). It's great: particularly like the 'what-if-not' approach to problem generation...

I believe I've seen this most frequently recommended from @benjamindickman.bsky.social. Great text! I agree that I got a lot out of the first chapters.
...the basic idea being to list a problems attributes (which may be very many) and choose an attribute and ask the question 'what if this was not the case?'
This also gives learners a template for generating and exploring their own problems. Looking forward to using some ideas in CPD and lessons.
I found the later chapters less useful, as they were mainly geared to teacher training scenarios, but the early chapters were really thought-provoking.

i also have google docs of 3 minicourses on problem posing that my colleague and i taught at Math for America 2017,18,19 in case those are of interest
