Was this at low tide? Approximately where?

This is more mud than sand, even tho there’s sand in it (zoom in you’ll see the cracks). This is around mt Saint Michel bay, on the west side of it, 2 hours after low tide. But that area doesn’t often fill with water even at low tide (only during very high tide coefficient).

Yes these are large mud cracks. The yelllow is actually some colors on the mud surface, it’s not sand. But that “mud” is a blend of mud, sand, argile (and probably some other stuffs I don’t know about).

Technically the Mont is in Normandie yes, but the bay is basically the junction between those 2 regions so it’s really matter of nothing. You can see the Mont from both sides.

Yes, it’s from the first battery I flew around golden hour. There was a big dry channel few hundreds meters in front of us and these mud patterns was in that channel. Thank you Daniel 🙂
