The science behind why it happens, the time involved, and the immense distances those particles travel to collide with particles here and create that beautiful light show is far more fascinating than calling it magic. It doesn't do it justice.

I’m not sure where you live, but the Yukon in Canada is the best place to see them. You can also see them in northern Ontario. That’s where I am, but they’re not as vibrant. They actually have northern lights tours in the Yukon.

I live in eastern Ontario, I've seen them several times some spectacular shows but never get tired of them and would like to see them from a more northern location.
