It will certainly be reflected in the Republican polls, but Dem leadership needs to be out front rallying the electorate to capitalize on it. Not wringing their hands at how powerless they are.

People don't realize that automated systems take people to maintain them and ensure that they're functioning. There's rarely a system that just set it and forget it, especially when you're introducing more complexity or unexpected inputs and outputs.

Definitely true especially for groups already retired and/or who don’t come into contact with the practice of information systems in their daily life or at work. Apps on phones and computers are set to auto update, ppl rarely see how often they are and what goes into it. Let alone infra etc.

talking to dad about threat to slash medicaid/medicare and he was saying how careful they are to not mention Medicare and I said these people don't do details and they don't care what breaks. the entire health care system could be bankrupt in 6 months either way.
