Axios is suspect to begin with. Many of those in said districts would icepick their own kids for Trump and view the Democratic Party as race and pronouns and worse.

This. We need to know what kind of help state parties need. Don’t say “everything” because we’ve thrown money at unwinnable races before. I hope these state parties are prepping now for 2026.

The state parties also need to do their jobs too, like recruiting, training, funding, and supporting Dems not just at the federal level, but up and down the ballot. In addition, precinct chairs need to be filled for canvassing and volunteering purposes to invest in the money and infrastructure.

Yep. Nothing’s more frustrating than a viable race being lost because the state party’s ground game sucks. And voter education is key. Ppl think politics happens only once every four years. Low turnouts usually favor the GOP.

And I hate it when there's no Dem running on the ballot in that particular seat/district... in 2024 about 20 US House seats had no Dem on the ballot, most of them uncontested to the GOP, with 2 more (CA-20 and WA-04) failing to advance to the general in November due to the jungle primary system.

But here's where it gets worse... in a number of states, particularly red/voter suppression states, a number of state legislative seats had no Dem on the ballot, in some cases, more than half went uncontested.

To me, leaving seats uncontested dilutes voter turnout, and that's just not right.

#WI01 should be on there if the Wisconsin Supreme Court strikes down the congressional maps... and in fact, right now the PVI index has it as only R+2.
