I'd argue that our recruitment has been good under Lange, within the parameters he has to work within, and that most of the squad suiting Frank means that this is a continuation rather than a reset

I thought the Sky day in the life programme showed who Frank values most, Cochrane and Newton were prominent voices in that show.

I agree. I think that it's interesting that he is bringing a performance/conditioning coach (Haslam) with him. You'd assume that he would be dealing directly with the medical team. Given our issues in that area over the last couple of years, that could be a real boost.

He did say in the peak performance podcast that if he were to join a new club, he'd look to go somewhere there were "easy gains". Injuries and set pieces are obvious areas to improve.

I'll be honest here. I read the Athletics admittedly not very detailed review of how our squad fits Frank. I think I have less concerns than I did with same players under Ange. It seems to be less square pegs in round holes, and this may help recruitment to raise that ceiling

I think that there are fewer positions where we need specialists under Frank than we would've under Ange. I'd see him coming in as a win for Lange, given that they've known each other for decades, and that bodes well for recruitment.

I very much hope that's true. It just depends how long it takes him to get the squad prepared.

He has had very slow starts at Brondby and Brentford.

I'm not anti-Frank, just hoping for some patience.

I think if patience was required again the Board should’ve stuck with Ange. The Board cannot sack managers every 3-18 months and then expect patience…

Personally, I do not have an issue with the manager changing every two or three years, as long as there is someone at the club setting the longer term direction, and we are picking managers who fit with that.

And I think that the fans should give every coach a fair chance

Agreed, but what is a fair chance to coach then if you expect a change every 2 years? My point is that the Board should not lower the expectations if there is a plan to change every 2 years, nor should we as fans. Expectations from Ange would be top5 and progress far in cups/compete to win, no?

This seems to be the most "linked up thinking" appointment we've made in a long time.

Before now it's been a case of talking a good game, but failing to follow through when crucial appointments needed to be made.

We're at risk of doing it again if we sack Lange and bring Paratici back.

Looks like Lange signed zero players in January while our exhausted team was killing themselves so that he could kick Ange out and bring in Frank. This is not a well run club.
