Whilst I dislike him as much as anyone, no one can say yet if Trump’s announcements had an effect which caused or contributed to the crash. Please don’t politicise it. There will be plenty of time for that once the investigation is complete.

I am not a troll. I have worked on fatal air accidents. This is my area.
I don’t like what Trump said or what he’s doing. Also, I don’t like ANY statements about what caused (or contributed towards) accidents until the proper investigation. We have no idea if Trump’s firings affected this crash.

I'm not an expert on air travel, but I HAVE seen how cataclysmic shakeups like losing the FAA director and a ton of other FAA brass in one week would have affected morale instantly. How did you like his press conference? DEI hires? Dwarfism? He floated that one. stop gaslighting! We can see.

I’m not gaslighting either. They may well have had an effect (low morale, distraction, etc.), but accident investigation is about proving what caused and what contributed (causation and correlation and all that). This takes time. So let’s wait and see, then sling stones once we have proof.

Air safety has been hard won at the cost of many lives. Flying is so safe because investigations are conducted by gathering evidence and data, by thorough analysis, then by reporting on and actioning recommendations.
This takes time. Hot takes may or may not help. So just wait. Be patient.
