Until we look at who we are, how our systematic "mythomania" works on our past and how it's reflected upon. We will remain ignorant of the fundamental issue that exists.
Up to now, he's relied upon wealth-friendly initiatives he could hide behind the noise of bigotry, blame and division. That kept him in beer and fags.

My guess, given the enhanced emphasis on various shades of climate denialism, is the fossil fuel sector has assured him he'll be bankrolled with all the beer and fags he could ever drink or smoke.
Thing is, everyone wants 'None of the above' for different reasons, and although it may win them seats, they'll be paralysed by their inability to deliver what they promise.
That process has already started.
