Even if you are not a fan of Mamdani, comparing him to Karl Lueger is so historically illiterate I don't even know where to start. (https://www.ynetnews.com/article/ryzvf29vlx)

Me personally, I don’t think a “Rabbi to the Stars” should be feeding into the narcissistic victim complexes of his congregation. But what do any of us know about the problems of the ultra rich?
The hysterics here are out of control. I'm not a fan of Mamdani's policies or his politics, and certainly no fan of the DSA. But these attempts to manufacture a crisis are so pathetic.
Israeli traitors who hate this country are afraid that America is going to correctly reject their bullshit. Honestly if they really feel threatened... There's the door.
Plus, Lueger took few if any official actions against the Jewish community of Vienna, despite periodic anti-Semitic statements by him, and enjoyed a generally good relationship with the city’s Jewish community.
It’s hysterical bullshit like this that makes it so much harder to address real anti-Semitism. The accusation has been invoked so cynically and disingenuously so often that I don’t blame people for reflexively rolling their eyes when they hear the accusation at this point.
Thats not the issue… come on! He isnt just a muslim man. He is a man who has been part of some extreemist anti-Zionist groups that HAVE spread hate to jew in the US and bare responsibility for the recent attacks in DC & Colorado. Please listen to the real concerns & dont just gaslight
Are SOME people scared of him just for being muslim? Sure. Atm the Jewish and Muslim communities are not in a good place. ALSO he has specific RECENT past involvement with SJP, BDS, WOL, SDA & basically said “globalize the intafada” was no big thing & not violent. It all matters
I hope so too. I have real concerns though. ALSO I think there were far more qualified candidates on the ticket. I think Lander or Myrie would have been better choices in terms of getting things done for the city, which is what should actually matter most
