Most of the games I play, I play with multiple family members. From my aunt to my 11-year-old cousin. My grandma is even interested in playing a silly race game called "Make Way" with us. I am going to make that woman rage at me.
The only gap I find in this is when I feel like playing Marvel Rivals after a long day at work, and getting destroyed by a kid who’s only ever been grinding the game from day 1. Yea I want to play ranked, and no kingfartknocker71626 I am not bad, I’m just exhausted.
Facts.
My mom finally got into a game recently.
Fun walking in and seeing both parents doing their own gaming 😁 (guess the love for them got inherited 😂)
I take it a step further. We have been idolizing fictional characters in books and movies forever. I do the same with video game chars. Johnny Silverhand is the GOAT. So is Aloy. I love that games engender that kind of feeling.
My library here has Video games to borrow but most of them are in the Kid's section
To make it worse, their 'teen section' had barely any there and I asked multiple times if they had more. When I found out they had most of them in Kids, they said "well people dont ask for those."
Idk Gave my 1 year old nephew the controller and well we lost the game…… Noobs 🙄
“Come on Baby don’t just spin in a circle throw the dam grenade !!!” 🤨
When people say they "outgrew" games, I ask them if they also outgrew movies, TV shows, books, and music because there are adult and kid versions of those as well.
Nah, it should be mandatory for children 3-7 to play the GTA, Manhunt, Red Dead Redemption, Dark Souls and the most heinous of all.. We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie
E for Everyone to have the chance to buy loot boxes to try and get something they really want and end up spending all of mom/dad's money trying to get it.
The only people who hate on video games are people that either never played them or have no ability to emphasize with a character...or just haven't found their niche.
I'm 41, and like you (I'm assuming), we've grown up with this taboo surrounding gaming. I'll never understand...
Yup. I grew up with the Atari and NES and haven't stopped. The taboo stigma is something I'll never understand either, granted I can't fathom the fascination and excitement with most sports. 🥴

There is always something you can learn from, have an emotional experience in, or just use as an escape from reality to entertain yourself out there.
