Sorry, not sorry, another thought about the Europa final: Spurs played the game, not the occasion - same as Liverpool did in 2019. Played the Man U team, not the club. Guess what, it worked.

Remember Mourinho playing us rather than the game in the league cup final. Sat a player on Eriksen and just nullified all our creativity. You do what you must to win silverware.
Ok as a football expert, based on the fact my team has won everything, neither team covered themselves in glory.
Easily the most forgettable European final in 50 years.
A scrappy goal won the game, not two teams playing football
Leaning on your strengths in the moment to win a game? See, that's bad. But also sticking to the principles uncompromisingly in order to ingrain them into your players, that's also bad. Australian manager bad, tottenham bad. Result is the only thing that matters except when it's tottenham.
Yeh, thought similar. Everything about the approaches of the 2 clubs was so different. We were this is the focus of the season, win the trophy, keep players fresh for this, staff get to go, we'll have a parade. Man u approach was, it's just another game, we want the money, staff have to pay, bbq
This. We get mocked for losing big games for playing the Spurs way. We do what winners do and win and still get criticism. There’s a long list of elite clubs stinking games out.
Any game referenced as a ‘chess game’ for example.
That we adapted from full-on 'Angeball' to winning a trophy playing like that, with the same coach, in the same season, really is an underrated story in all of this.
If Ange stays, will the outcome be a more pragmatic, hybrid version? Angeball 2.0?
No idea, I just don’t think you lot played the occasion any better than United, you had 3 shots all game, scoring from what looked like an own goal while conceding 16 against a very poor United side.

I hope so.
