As a born-and-bred American from the Republican panhandle of western Nebraska, I feel nothing but sadness for my former country. The anger will come. At the duplicity, the stupidity, the monstrous racism, misogyny, greed and cowardice, the death of an imperfect democracy.
Today, it's just sadness.
