I'm going to date myself here: Nickel's was a chain and yes, part owned by Celine. There was some shtick where if you bought a plate, you could get a second sandwich for a nickel(?). What I DO remember is they served desserts in ludicrous portions like a 10" high chocolate cake.

When I think of Celine I remember her husband Rene Angelil using his celeb ID to take up masses of space in the cramped Canadiens room at the old Forum while wearing a fur coat.
