Sadly the job I had accepted never got a fund release and the job no longer exists :/ Some of it wasn't anticipatory, it was functional. Held funds don't pay due bills.

The clowns running the show have so little care for what they're doing, I have to wonder what the remaining people can get away with to keep things running. Whole department fired? No problem, hire them as 100 janitors or crypto specialists or something. Nothing matters. Just say it saved a dollar.

I don’t have the time to dig up every single example, but these are shared widely here on Bluesky and are reported in the news. Maybe search for “rehired” or “unfired” or “funding resumed” etc. Or follow those of us who post about this often.

Yes! And with last week's fed judge ruling- OPM has NO AUTHORITY (nor Mush) to call for ANY TERMINATIONS - FIRINGS - of federal employees in OTHER agencies, there needs to be ~dozens of class action lawsuits to reinstate EVERY SINGLE wrongly-fired worker!

One of the reasons I haven't responded to the OPM 5 accomplishments emails and have reminded my reports that their response is voluntary. At the end of the day, it will hurt my agency more to fire me than it will hurt me. I love the work I do, but not enough to bow to fascists

They are only hiring back the 'in group,' people who are generally assumed to be Republicans - veterans and military spouses. They are also undoing the firing of people on disability because of bad optics.

Your buzzword usage is incorrect.

The employees were fired. Then they left. By definition that is NOT anticipatory compliance.

The current Director of the FBI resigning in anticipation of being fired IS an example of anticipatory compliance.

What would be great is if there is a follow on piece illuminating how many of the stays are being adhered to. How many of the EO stays have been followed by Trump and Musk? THAT to me, is the bigger question. Finding lawyers and judges that know how to follow the law is easy. Making Trump obey...
