Technically they are not “keeping her alive “ as brain dead =dead. They are keeping her corpse animated to serve as an incubator. Keeping her 9-week fetus supported until viability is a long shot at best.

In their situation I would want the grandchild and perhaps the father of the child also has a say. Saving babies from woman who die in car accidents or similar is not uncommon.

What would she want? People have been kept alive on incubators for years. It's not a big deal. I am in favour of woman having the right to terminate an unwanted early pregnancy. If the baby was wanted however then the dead woman's wishes take precedence over anyone and anything else.

Keeping someone alive if that’s their wishes is one thing. To hold a family back from making the decision that’s best for them because of outrageous abortion laws is quite another. Women are more than incubators and deserve dignity.
