Public service announcement: a few months ago, on the urging of folks on this site, I switched from using a Roku TV to an Apple TV.

My god. It is night & day. Everything is SO much faster & easier. I should have done it years ago.

And I think that's Netflix fault, right? They didn't want to give data to Apple. But honestly? I often forget to watch Netflix shows. So how helpful is this for them to not be included?

Yeah. The interface is shockingly rudimentary. And bad news. I’ve been on the plex beta and the new interface there is the pits. Hopefully they course correct.

AppleTV is a device and a service. They are talking about the interface on the device. Most apps on device (Max, Hulu, etc) will have your up next cue show in the AppleTV os. Netflix doesn’t share that data with apple so you have to go into the Netflix app to see a separate Netflix only list.

The above also applies to search. I can hey siri search on device for a film and it will tell me where its streaming excluding Netflix.
