“Typically as you move further from tragedy, it grows further from the mind, but I’m encouraged people still care and people continue to come out and show support...Ahmaud’s life still means something to people.”

Bunch of fukkers in that neighborhood-he didn't stand a chance.😭
My heart aches for his family and I feel profound shame that this kind of crime is so common in America.
Each good one lost before their age is a loss for us all
*is the murderer still alive?* and sigh.
Uniform hardline action by women & minorities & their allies
could have backed off psycho white male bullies long ago.
Abuse Needs To Become Too Dangerous For Abusers.
I wish for them to be desensitized. Get used to seeing people without feeling unsafe or upset.
Ok, this is really a trip!
I just joined BlueSky, and the first thing that I see this am is this post about Ahmaud.
The trip is, I write poetry, and I had just penned this verse, (about Ahmaud & racism), a couple of days ago:
“What if the McMichaels were black, & Ahmaud was white, would it have taken months to make an arrest?”
I was taken aback when they were convicted,
It’s sad that I thought they’d get probation at best!”
The 1st post is 1/2
& the 2nd post is 2/2
When you write 1/1, we assume that’s the only post & therefore it’s not needed
And the first thing we look for is the beauty within
When the sky in the ocean are green and grey
Then We shall be free
Can you name the song?
I was horrified and my heart breaks for his family.
To be honest, I am 62 & just learned about this in my college HIST 1 class last summer. It was never discussed in my childhood and definitely not taught then.
if you can acknowledge the racism in society how can't you see that?
What blindspot could be there?
Ill never know: ill never be in your shoes
I keep seeing posts like these and yours doesn’t but they often vilify white women as if we are the villains in this.
We need to expand and better define diversity quotas to ensure we are truly inclusive, agree 💯
"Conservative," says all that and more.
Fascism is the logical conclusion to an immoral ethos.
I remember como and lemon broke that story wide open on tv when cnn still had a network not an att spinoff
Keep retelling the event detail by detail. It does not need embellishment.
We all must do this.
