Arbitrary retirement ages don't capture reality of life. As pointed out in the article, a person in the trades is in a different situation than a person behind a desk. Should a 70 year old still be a roofer? That demanding job wears out backs and knees. We need to view individual needs not just ages

And honestly I believe that retirement is wasted on the aged. I am an #elderworker and had the luxury of semi-retirement as my children were growing up. We should have the opportunity to be there during the important family moments.

Agreed. My mom lost her purpose when forced to retire at 65 (musician in orchestra in Netherlands). Her health drastically changed for the worse.
