Among authoritarian models of government, monarchy has the added issues created (at least historically) from inbreeding. They marry their cousins because their rule is considered a divine right and their spouses must also be of that lineage.

Thing is, now that we've more or less become a global society that has ALMOST moved past monarchy as a system, now we see a lot of wealthy people with huge amounts of privilege start to concentrate the same way.
