Deep dish pizza is more like a novelty in Chicago; I recommend it if you’re a tourist. The pizza we love and eat the most is tavern style with sausage, pepper, and mushrooms. The outside perspective on deep dish is so weird to me.

This whole discussion reminds me that, if politics over yonder ever becomes safe to be in again. I need to find myself a guide who can point out the real Chicago styled pizza eateries when I visit that town again.
I had to check what tavern style meant since deep dish is such a strange pizza to me and I thought it was some other sort of oddity but it looks like standard pizza to me.
Maybe a little thin.
