So all this building of ugly high rises are not affordable.
My son has friends that it takes 3 or 4 roommates to afford the rent.
So it’s not as simple as just build more housing in beautiful places.
I am not a selfish person and welcome all but where do you draw the line?

Guess what those apartments are not affordable btw
I have a friend who was able to buy an affordable townhouse under a program here and guess what she’s not allowed to build equity.
Driving into Boulder now there are block size apts obstructing the view of our Flatirons and foothills.

I’d like to comment on people not being able to live in beautiful places
It took us 4 different houses to build equity to buy in Boulder CO because it is beautiful.
We used to have a height limit but now contractors are building high rise “affordable” apartments crammed in every area they can.

Good Podcast - but the economist @justinwolfers.bsky.social is "revising his book" - just like Paul Samelson did to his ECO 101 book - he would renumber the pages to kill the second hand book market.
