40 Years old, bad maintenance. Rust weaken the Ships and makes the Steel thinner, you had to change plates even after 25 Years. And these Ships were build for Rivers and calm Sea.

It was just a question. I suppose helped can also refer to the utter incompetence of Russia using inappropriate or decayed shipping. Whatever, they still achieved a remarkable (and welcome!) coup to lose two tankers at the same time.
