Why do Arsenal fans keep going on about Newcastle being desperate for Isak to sign a new contract? His contract expires at Newcastle in June 2028. π

Because they think the world revolves around their club and theyβre the centre of the premier league. They honestly think theyβre returning the 2002-04 era team with that asos manager when theyβve had 2 ok seasons without actually challenging for trophies
Maybe just me, but I don't remember a lot of competition for Isak - he'd had a relatively weak final season at Sociedad as mgr had changed to 4-4-2 so his numbers had dipped, and he had some injury concerns. Just not sure why Kroenke should be regarded as deeper pockets than PIF..
I used to buy him on Football Manager π he was linked everywhere that summer in the media but nobody bit the bullet apart from Newcastle, his injury record is murky though he makes up for it in his shot to goal conversion, was second to only Haaland last season.
His shot-to-goal conversion is ridiculous. I'd hoped NUFC could have bid for Guirassy last winter - but this is just the eyeball test - not stats or anything - I leave that to Kev and Sanjay.
Guirassy is a great shout, Iβm keen to see who will cough up for Gyokeres, I donβt think Man Ciry can justify another striker of that expense as a second to Haaland, thatβs who Arsenal should be sniffing around.
If I were Pep (and I'm not) and considering selling Palmer and Alvarez was clearly a mistake, and if Haaland is going to leave at some point. Then, as much as it saddens me, Isak is the answer.
