Thank you kindly! These are my own designs, sculpted by Alan Marsh and cast by Griffin Moulds. Cannot stress enough how brilliant Alan and Griffin have been in making this a reality. Hoping to have them on sale in a couple of days time, all being well.
390 figures, 13 different minis, 5 different shield variants, and pila & spear options. If you swap shields and alternate between spear and pila there is quite a lot of possible variation.
I will probably base them individually, as I will likely be using them for skirmish gaming. But I'd love to see someone do a full unit of them in vignette style - to be fair I might do that myself!
Here are a couple of quick close-ups of the whole family of minis. Casting quality is superb (Griffin Moulds have done a great job). Literally just taken them out of the box and there's no clean-up needed.
Thanks, if it's the one I think you're referring to it's a Boetian helmet (visually fairly similar tbf to the Macedonian helmet) - I wanted some of them to have a Hellenistic feel to reflect where some of them got their kit from (ie, looted from the local armouries).
Indeed so! Here's a family photo I've just taken. I am really happy with how they've turned out. It was a bit nerve-wracking waiting for them to arrive and see them properly for the first time!
