Unfortunately, he was probably reported by those standing near enough to see and then taken to concentration camp. Possibly along with his family. I know this because my mother survived the German control of Austria in WWII.
Yes and be like my Mother’s great Uncle. His name was Admiral Gunther Lutjens and he was the Admiral of the Bismarck. When Hitler came aboard his ship he refused to do the Heil Hitler salute! The ship was hit and sank on his 52nd birthday and he went down with his ship!
His name was August Landmesser and his wife Irma was a Jewish woman. He was arrested in 1938 for their relationship & sent to a concentration camp for 2 yrs. He was then conscripted to Croatia where he died in action. She died in Bernburg. Their 2 girls were given to foster families.
God, I hope it doesn't come to that. 😱
We need to reclaim the word #WOKE from these bastards. More on that tomorrow.

It’s real but I have a feeling there’s some context missing. If he wasn’t a nazi and willing to heil, why was he smack in the middle of them? Still, it’s a good symbol of resisting MAGA.
I found it, his name was August Landmesser and he hated the nazis over his relationship with a Jewish woman. He was imprisoned and sent to penal military service where he was killed.
I’m pretty sure that’s the picture I saw in a Berlin museum over the summer. From memory it was a work place. It really impacted me along with the walking tour I went on. It’s the museum near the interrogation cells in the wall. I wondered if they killed him.
This photo is on display at the Topography of Terror exhibition in Berlin. I seem to recall reading that a woman behind him reported him for refusing to salute.
Yes. I have 3 decades head start on my daughter but in the last 5 years, she does not stand or participate in anything considered patriotic in the Nationalist Christian realm of this country either. We r always alone in the crowd but I refuse all support for this country when inequality still exist
How do we know “this guy” doesn’t have a rotator cuff injury or adhesive capsulitis, or shoulder impingement syndrome? What do we actually know about “this guy” except he can’t or won’t raise his hand above his shoulder?
Now is not the time to judge books by their covers. The good will do bad.
This is a famous photograph of August Landmesser, a German worker who refused to perform the Nazi salute at a 1936 shipyard event in Hamburg.
Here's what you need to know:
The Man:
August Landmesser joined the Nazi Party in 1931 but was expelled in 1935 after falling in love with Irma Eckler-
The Consequences:
Landmesser and Eckler were imprisoned for their relationship, and Eckler was later murdered in a concentration camp. Landmesser was drafted into penal military service and killed in action in 1944.
Sadly he will be one of 5M EU patriots who didn't accept Hitlers groomer lies. He saw the buggering coming. They got smeared & slaved in 18K camps, 1 in every town in 19 so called christian countries who never talk about it. That's how he funded war & bought colluders with stolen lives & possessions
It's imperative to not discount the madness of crowds. He's thinking for himself and using his own moral compass. I just never thought in this day and age, with the recent knowledge we have of the rise of Nazi Germany that we'd be back so soon.
Been since 2016. I always wondered when seeing footage of Hitler and Mussolini, like who in their right mind would have thought, “Yeah, I want to follow this guy?” Now we all know.
It is thought his name is August Landmesser, a man who hated the Nazi’s because of their view of his love for a Jewish woman. You can Google him to discover more.

Here's what you need to know:
The Man:
August Landmesser joined the Nazi Party in 1931 but was expelled in 1935 after falling in love with Irma Eckler-
The Event:
This photo was taken at the launch of a new vessel at the Blohm and Voss shipyard in Hamburg, where Landmesser worked.
The Defiance:
Landmesser's refusal to salute was a bold act of defiance against the Nazi regime and its discriminatory laws.
Landmesser and Eckler were imprisoned for their relationship, and Eckler was later murdered in a concentration camp. Landmesser was drafted into penal military service and killed in action in 1944.
