This is dumb on every level but I also thought: does that mean they’ll have to shut down the student radio station, student TV station, and UT-owned NPR affiliate every night? Those are all on campus, doing activities protected by the First Amendment lol.
Most of Abbott & GOP supporters in Texas have never been to college,so they’ll applaud keeping those woke liberals in college from talking.They won’t get upset until something negative affects them directly,like their exploitation of undocumented workers working on their ranches & businesses.
Can you imagine trying to enforce that on college campuses? And where would sighing, grunting, and all the other nighttime expressive voice sounds fall?

If you can get past the blatant rights violations - which is a big if - this isn't in any way practical.
College students don't go to bed at 10pm. That's absurd. My college newspaper wouldn't have been published if we weren't working on it until 3am.
