I have always gotten a bit of amusement out of the Scottish league, I must admit. Like, why do most of the other poor clubs even bother?

There are multiple divisions and trophies outside the top leagues. You don’t need to win things to be passionate about a team.

Well, yes, I guess you're right. That was kind of the point of my original post. My team stinks, but I want them to keep trying hard no matter what!
