i love races ike this. and i would rather 3 overtakes than 300 as some judge a race by.

i think the top 3 were going at it hammer and tongs. It's just that it's hard to build an exciting narrative when that happens.

Pretty much same. Especially when we have a more contrasting set of races like Melbourne being a little hectic, then this one being more of a long narrative. Gives a nice spice to the season!

People judge based on overtakes and unpredictability. But the reality is it would have taken literally one mistake from anyone to substantially change the outcome of the race. And no one blinked. You gotta have respect for that.

I'm not surprised, lots of current day (DTS) fans think a race is only good when there's crashes, unpredictable weather and a million and one overtakes.
And sometimes they're right.

But there's nothing more exciting then tactics and blistering pace with the top three within seconds of each other.

this was my favorite race of the year so far, even though there weren't many overtakes, the pace was so tight between the top teams, it was really great to see

It was a pretty good race, to be honest. I’m biased. Suzuka was the first F1 race I ever saw live.

I cannot imagine watching like, 5 seconds of any onboard at Suzuka and not being fascinated, so it couldnt go wrong with me.
